PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Loma Linda University is a Seventh-day Adventist educational health-sciences institution which provides an environment for learning, emphasizing excellence in education, personal integrity, intellectual development, community service and personal commitment to Christ.  Loma Linda University has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 among its eight schools which include the School of Allied Health Profession, School of Dentistry, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy, School of Public Health, School of Science and Technology and the School of Religion.   

The Doctor of Physical Therapy program is housed within the School of Allied Health Professions.  The Department has 22 full time faculty, 5 part time faculty and a significant number of clinicians who assist with the educational process on a contract basis.  The Department offers degrees in the following areas: Physical Therapist Assistant, progression Doctor of Physical Therapy, entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy, post-professional Master of Physical Therapy, post-professional Doctor of Physical Therapy and the Doctor of Science.   

On exit interviews, the graduates of the Department of Physical Therapy consistently mark the faculty as a high strength of the program ûavailability, compassionate, knowledgeable, high quality of teaching.
