GRE® Requirements for Programs in PTCAS

Take GRE® Before JULY 31 - Due to changes in the GRE, programs may require or prefer that you to take the exam early and before the "GRE® revised General Test" is introduced on August 1. Visit the Directory pages for program-specific GRE® requirements.

Early Decision candidates in PTCAS must take the GRE® and request scores to be sent by no later than July 31.

GREDates

USE NEW GRE® CODES FOR PT PROGRAMS - It is important to send your official GRE® scores to the correct code for EVERY PT program you will apply to. If you don't use the right code, a program may consider your file incomplete even if your official scores are forwarded to it through PTCAS.

Programs with "NEW" GRE® codes chose to have ETS send scores (1) only to PTCAS or (2) to PTCAS and the institution. ETS will automatically send official GRE scores to the right place based on the code entered. There is no "extra" step to have your official scores sent to PTCAS.

Programs with "UNIVERSITY" GRE® codes prefer to have official scores come directly to them using the same codes as in the past. PTCAS will NOT receive official scores for these codes.
